Cook and Cooker are two words in the English language that are quite often confused.

      -a person who cooks food or prepares food.

        -an appliance or an apparatus used in the process of cooking.
 Example:
❌My friend is a very good cooker.❌
✔My friend is a very good cook.✔
 More examples:
I prefer to buy a gas cooker.
A cooker is not a very expensive apparatus.
 He cooks well.
The food is not cooked well.
I met the cook yesterday.
 It's an electric rice cooker.
