Corpse and carcass

Corpse and carcass Corpse:  /kɔːps/               -A dead body of a human being. Examples:               The corpse was barely recognizable.              The corpse was mutilated.              Don't move the corpse before you send for the police. Carcass:  /kɑːkəs/          -the dead body of an animal  ready for cutting up as meat. Examples:                 The vultures are picking at a lion's carcass.                You might find a bit of meat left on the chicken carcass.              A cluster of vultures crouched on the carcass of a dead buffalo R.Chinnasamy Subramanian
